SCED – February Marches on

February came and went, and took another four weeks of daily creative spurts with it. If you have been following me on Flickr or Twitter, you will have seen this already, but it’s always nice to have a record of what I’ve been up to on my blog too!

This month, I learnt a bit about the Flickr API, which made making this post considerably easier. Perhaps not as easy as it could be though- I still have a lot more to learn!

This month, I got the letterpress going again, which you should have already seen if you are a regular reader here, and came up with the usual nonsense of whimsical illustrations, scrawls on post-it notes, and even came up with some random animation experiments, including the Speedbeard a couple of posts previous on this very blog. All this formed the bread in a very tall sandwich filled with winter Olympics, record covers and DIY. Cool!

SCED Roundup January 2010

And there goes another month of daily creativity! It’s a bit more work-related than usual as a big catchup was in order when I got back to my desk. I guess the other highlight was my new flashes, which have been helping with some random creativity and nice pictures of things I’ve made too. Disappointingly, not much letterpress action in the past month, but it should be picking up again this month!

Don’t forget, you can follow me on Twitter @trickartt, which tweets whenever I post something here, or now whenever I post my daily creative activity to Flickr! Cool!

End-of-year SCED Roundup

Going away put posting this a little off-schedule, but it was a good thing really as it has straightened up my months. Here we are anyway, with a roundup of the last of the year’s Something Creative Every Day project. Some of the action includes letterpressing, diplodocuses, iPhone apps, and American excursions. Cool!

Considering this project was started on a whim, I think I’m doing pretty well 3.5 months in. For the statistics fans out there (like me), I have managed to post something creative for 91 of 112 days, giving me a success rate of 81%. Maybe my new year’s resolution should be to bring that up to 90%. Or maybe it should just be to get some more interesting paid work!

SCED – October/November 2009

Another month of creative junk has passed already! It’s been a bit dominated by the letterpress, but that’s no bad thing. Here’s the roundup:

And there you have it. Tune in next month, where I might try and understand the flickr API to make this process a lot easier!!

SCED Roundup- Stream of consciousness

In case you haven’t ventured over to my flickr to see my creative stream of consciousness that is my Something Creative Every Day project, here is the past month in action. Well, I suppose it’s a little over a month as I’ve missed a day here or there, but it’s 28 days in all.

Who am I kidding, I’m just putting this here for my own pleasure, to remind myself how much creative nonsense I produce! Is that bad?

Something creative every day

So after a series of random little bits of nonsense in a short period of time, I have decided to try and post something creative I’ve made every day, for… well, until I get fed up, I guess. It’s not gonna be worth doing unless I do it for a long period of time, but I figured I would give it a go anyway.

The thing is, I’m already cheating by a) not uploading something on every day and b) spreading some things across days to cover days when I haven’t been committing. Oh well. maybe just a photo of a post-it note every day would be more appropriate, but I think I do cool stuff outside of those little three-inch squares sometimes!

Anyway, here’s the first week of effort. I’m posting it all on Flickr if you want to keep up to date with it, though I might try to make weekly roundups.
